Cruise Along the West Coast of Sweden
Cruise from Gˆteborg through the fantastic archipelago of Bohusl‰n.

Day 1
Start from Gˆteborg in the morning. The journey will take you through the northern archipelago of Gˆteborg. The archipelago of Bohusl‰n is home of many marine species and one of them is the Swedish seal. There are several locations where the chances of catching sight of these fantastic animals are good, for example at S‰lˆ (Seal Island)), north of the ÷ckerˆ islands.
We will pass the small island of ?stol. ?stol was for a long period of time one of the most important fishing communities. At present this small island north of Marstrand has about 300 inhabitants. You continue through the narrow and beautiful Albrektsund canal, and further to Marstrand where we make a stop to visit the Calsten Fortress and to do some shopping.
At the top of Marstrand island lays the Carlsten fortress. For more than 300 years this huge grey fortress protected the small wooden town below. The fortress was previously associated with war, imprisonment and fear, but today it is used for fabulous feasts and conferences and is part of the well known silhouette of the island of Marstrand. Every year, thousands of people come here to see the kitchen, and execution place, of the legendary prisoner Lasse-Maja and the small fortress church. Marstrand is also home to many sailing regattas.
You continue along the Marstrand fjord and pass Kyrkesund and Mollˆsund where you will stop to look at the typical fishing villages.and to learn about the traditional fishing culture. In the evening you arrive to K‰ringˆn where you will stay for the night. Either before or after dinner, you will go for a walk on this fantastic island which is situated far out in the western archipelago. You will also have the possibility to visit an oyster bar or to relax in a fire-heated, seawater bath in a wooden tub.

Day 2
After breakfast at the hotel you continue cruising to Lysekil, where the ship stops to admire the unforgettable pink granite landscape, which is sometimes wild and barren and at other times gentle and caressing. You will visit the Havets Hus sea aquarium and marine biology research information center and learn about life in the Western Sea of Sweden.
The tour continues to the most popular harbor of the west coast, Smˆgen. Stop to walk at the famous wharf Bryggen and experience a fish auction. Weather permitting, visit HÂllˆ lighthouse with its harsh but beautiful flat rocks. Spend the night at a nice hotel in Smˆgen.

Day 3
After breakfast turn back towards Gullholmen and H‰rmanˆ. You will stop at Skepparmuseet museum to see the exhibition and have a nice cup of coffee. Your journey continues to Sk‰rhamn, where you will visit the Nordic Water Color Museum. In the evening you will return to Gˆteborg.
